Foundation Central
Foundational learning. The child at the centre.

I'll tell you what actually matters

Your child has a pile of reports. School does what it can. My job is to sit above the pile, put it in order, and then work with your child on the things that count.

Why Foundation Central

A pile of reports is not a plan

Every professional sees your child from one angle. Nobody sits above the pile. That is the gap this practice exists to fill.

01

The professionals assess

An EP report here, an OT report there, a speech and language assessment on top. Each one long, expensive and written from a single angle.

02

The school implements

Good schools do what they can with what they have. Some recommendations land. Many quietly never happen, and nobody tells you which.

03

Nobody prioritises

What actually matters, in what order, and what to ignore. That person has been missing. This is that person.

Strategy and delivery from one person. I tell you what matters in the report, and then I work with your child on it. Almost nobody offers both.

How it starts

Twenty minutes, then a plan

01

A discovery call

Twenty minutes, free. Tell me about your child and what is sitting on your desk. No obligation, no pitch.

02

A report review

Send me the latest report. Within five working days you know what matters, in what order, and what to leave.

03

The right package

If ongoing help is right, we build it from what your child actually needs. If it is not, the review stands on its own.

A deliberately small practice

Twelve families. That is the whole business.

Not a clinic, not an agency. A small number of families, each known properly.

12

families at any one time, never more

of those places always held pro bono

working days from report to priority plan

“We had spent thousands on assessments and were still lost. One call put the whole folder in order. For the first time we knew what to do next, and what to stop doing.”

The families I work with

Paying fees does not switch off support

  • A private diagnosis and a growing folder of reports
  • A child at an independent school, in London, the home counties or anywhere online
  • No relationship with the local authority, and no idea whether you should have one
  • Often unaware that an EHCP may still be worth exploring, because nobody tells fee-paying families this

Families in this position are usually spending significantly, and often on the wrong things in the wrong order. Sequencing is most of the value.

Not sure where you stand?

That is a normal place to start. The discovery call exists to work out whether I can help, and to say so honestly if I cannot.

About the report review

The person

The name is the company. The person is me.

I'm Marcel Pirret. By day I am a SENCo in an independent school, sitting on the school's side of the table. I built Foundation Central because I kept watching families arrive with expensive reports and no map.

Foundation Central stands for foundational learning and experiences, with the child at the centre, from central London. I am the voice and the practitioner. The company is simply the invoice.
